A founding member of Spain’s recently founded left-wing Podemos party resigned on Thursday. <br /><br /> Juan Carlos Monedero expressed disappointment at the party’s direction, fearing it could become more mainstream.<br /><br /> “My party is the most decent there is…but sometimes we appear to be like those that we want to replace,” Monedero said in a radio interview. <br /><br /> Earlier this year he confirmed that he had been involved in advisory work for some left-wing governments in Latin America, a move criticised by Conservative politicians in Spain.
