A car bomb has rocked the Iraqi capital Baghdad, killing at least seven people and wounding more than a dozen others. <br /><br /> No group immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing, which happened in the central Karrada area, but it reportedly bore the hallmarks of ISIL.<br /><br /> The extremist group, along with other Sunni militants, has been waging war against Iraq’s Shiite majority among others. <br /><br /> Meanwhile, 50 inmates and 12 police officers have died in a prison escape to the northeast of Baghdad.<br /><br /> Officials claim the breakout, at the Al-Khalis facility, was organised by ISIL.<br /><br /> Militants are said to have broken into the prison, before Shiite militiamen reportedly stormed the building and killed around 60 of them. <br /><br /> The Iraqi government is battling ISIL with the help of US air strikes.
