A 42-year Boston man was lucky to escape with his member intact after his member literally snapped during sex.<br /> <br />The man’s case is documented in the latest edition of the The New England Journal of Medicine.<br /> <br />The incident occurred as the unnamed man was going at it like a jackhammer with his partner when he accidentally slammed his manhood into the woman’s perineum, or the bit between her vajayjay and backdoor, and heard a ‘snap’. <br /><br />The snap, was caused by a tear in the man’s tunica albuginea, a watertight fibrous outer sheath that is responsible for maintaining the structural integrity of an erection.<br /> <br />The resulting loss of blood led to a hematoma and what the experts call a classic eggplant deformity, (swelling, discoloration and deviation away from the damaged area)<br /> <br />Thankfully, there was a happy ending in this case as six months later the man regained erectile function without the need for surgery.
