Check out our official website: http://us.tomonews.net/<br />Check out our Android app: http://goo.gl/PtT6VD<br />Check out our iOS app: http://bit.ly/1gO3z1f<br /><br />------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br /><br />Malaysia's first electric vehicle car sharing initiative called "Cohesive Mobility Solution (COMOS)" will begin in August in Klang Valley, an area that includes the capital Kuala Lumpur and its suburbs.<br />According to Environment News Service, the first phase of the program expects the placement of 30 to 40 electric vehicles, among which the Renault Zoe and the Renault Twizy, in selected hot spots in the Klang Valley.<br /><br />Once the Klang Valley plan is fully operational, another 20 to 30 electric cars will be made available in the Langkawi islands off the coast of northwestern peninsula Malaysia. <br /><br />After the second phase, more cars will be introduced in the cities of Melaka, Johor Bahru and Penang.<br /><br />The plan also includes EV charging providers, EV fleet operators, parking management operators and telecommunications network operators.<br /><br />By 2020, 3,500 electric cars will be available for sharing across the whole peninsular Malaysia.<br /><br />The program is aimed to help reduce traffic congestion, as well as lowering fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.<br /><br />According to COMOS Executive Chairman Syed Zainal Abidin, the fee would slightly be higher than normal taxi charges.<br /><br />------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br /><br />Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets.
