Originally published on September 13, 2013 <br /><br />A man wearing a mask of U.S. Barack Obama robbed a bank in New Hampshire, making off with an undisclosed amount of money before he was caught by police.<br /><br />The man, identified as 52-year-old John Griffin Jr. walked into a Bank of America dressed in a suit jacket, tie and Barack Obama and demanded that the teller fill up a blue bag her was carrying with money.<br /><br />Police told the local media that they were able to determine what direction the robber left, and an officer spotted a man matching the robber's physical description coming from behind a nearby building within 15 minutes of the robbery, adding that he was in possession of a semi-automatic pistol at the time of his arrest.<br /><br />"It was probably within five minutes or so from the bank robbery getting called in to our officers deploying to the area," said Scott Park, a detective with the Merrimack Police Department, told WMUR, New Hampshire. <br /><br />"[Officers] came upon the individual exiting the wood line with a bag and the description that had been given by bank personnel."<br /><br />He was later arraigned and ordered held on $75,000 cash bail.<br /><br />--------------------------------------------------------<br /><br />TomoNews is your daily source for top animated news.
