A stomach bug struck 26 students during a Qantas flight from Chile to Australia and left them vomiting and suffering from diarrhea throughout much of the 14-hour flight from Santiago to Sydney. <br /><br />The group, who are believed to have all been travelling together, contracted the norovirus prior to departure, according to Qantas.<br /><br />Symptoms of the infection only became evident midway through the flight.<br /><br />The 26 ill passengers were moved to the rear of the plane where four lavatories were located.<br /><br />Upon arrival in Sydney, 16 of the passengers required hospitalization, three of whom had to be carried from the plane on stretchers. <br /><br />--------------------------------------------------------<br /><br />TomoNews is your daily source for top animated news.
