Originally published on July 26, 2013<br /><br />Prison break: Career criminals, Adrian Albrecht of Switzerland and Milan Poparovic of Bosnia and member of the Pink Panther gang, escaped from prison on July 25. <br /><br />The prison is located in Orbe, Switzerland, near the French border.<br />Albrecht, 52, and Poparovic 34, were outside during an exercise period just before 8 p.m.<br />Accomplices used a white van to ram through a gate and wire fence. They fired on guards with automatic weapons to prevent them foiling the escape.<br />A ladder was used to enable the men to scale a fence.<br />The first van was torched and the four men escaped in a second vehicle.<br /><br />The Pink Panthers is a mostly Eastern European gang responsible for some incredible raids on jewelry stores in the early-and-mid 2000s.<br /><br />TomoNews is your daily source for top animated news.
