A Jetstream aircraft, dubbed the "Flying Test Bed", last month became the first plane to fly unmanned through UK shared airspace, according to a BBC report.

The 16-seat plane has been developed to be flown pilotless. It includes a cockpit camera that functions as an "electronic eye", an infrared camera for emergency landings, an aircraft identification antenna and a central passenger cabin filled with powerful computers.

The plane's "electronic eye" allows the plane to recognize cloud types and plot a course to avoid unfavorable weather.

The airplane's 'sense and avoid' technology allows it to avoid unplanned mid-flight obstacles.

It's infrared camera can be used to detect and avoid life to find safe landing areas.

The project's director Lambert Dopping-Hepenstal expects to see pilotless airplanes operating in British airspace by the end of the decade.

FOR MORE TOMONEWS US, GO TO:
http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=TomoNewsUS

FOR MORE FUNNY TAIWANESE ANIMATIONS, GO TO: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=NMAWorldEdition

FOR MORE FUNNY TAIWANESE ANIMATIONS IN ENGLISH, GO TO: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=NMAtv

FOR MORE TOMONEWS JP, GO TO: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=TomoNewsJP

FOR MORE APPLE DAILY ENGLISH, GO TO: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=AppleDailyEnglish

CHECK OUT THE ODDBODS!
http://www.youtube.com/user/nxTomo
