The latest in a wave of attacks in Afghanistan has targeted the European Union.<br /><br /> Extremist group the Taliban has claimed responsibility for a suicide car bomb attack on a European Union Police Mission (EUPOL) vehicle in the capital Kabul. <br /><br /> At least three people have died, officials say. <br /><br /> A EUPOL spokeswoman said all personnel were safe, but confirmed another person travelling in the vehicle had been killed.<br /><br /> Two Afghan civilian bystanders are also thought to have died.<br /><br /> The assault took place near the main airport. Authorities say the EUPOL vehicle was rammed by a Toyota Corolla, on the road to a nearby NATO base.<br /><br /> EUPOL officials are in the country to advise Afghan law enforcement officials.
