Finally, after a long session of teasers, Chevrolet has unveiled the 2016 Camaro in public. Spent most of its time in wind tunnel, the new Camaro’s aerodynamics gained a lot of minute refurbishments. As per the official report, the major portion of resurrection is actually carried under its skin, where 70% parts are tailored to meet the new design philosophy. Reportedly, it even lost 90kgs of weight despite gaining 28% more stiffness. Moving inside the cabin, 2016 Camaro offers a driver-focused layout with 8-inch HD instrument cluster and another 8-inch infotainment system positioned on central console. Additionally, the ambient lighting and various driving modes will lead to better experience behind the steering wheel.
However, three engine options are found strapped inside the engine bay. A one is the new 2-liter, followed by a V6, and that beasty V8 powers the top-of-line Camaro SS.
Hence, each of these new Camaro will see a six-speed manual transmission as standard, where the 8-speed automatic will cling to the optional list.
