Deepika Padukone's 'Piku' beats Ranbir Kapoor's 'Bombay Velvet' at box office<br /><br />Piku released on May 8. Bombay Velvet released a week later. While Piku rested on Deepika Padukone's able shoulders, Bombay Velvet was mounted on the once-upon-a-time successful shoulders of Ranbir Kapoor. Piku opened at a decent Rs 5 crore, which was good given that the film was a small budgeted slice of life flick.
