With the facilitation provided by Baidarie Sialkot, Seventeen (17) leading companies in Sialkot Industry signed the Women Empowerment Principles framed by UN WOMEN and UN Global Compact. With these signatures, Pakistan entered into the list of those 900 socially responsible companies at the global level who have avowed to work for advancement of gender responsiveness in their corporate policies and practices. Two women workers narrated the story of their struggle for socioeconomic empowerment in that ceremony.
