After an Railway Police Force (RPF) Jawan was lynched by hawkers in Malda, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee blamed the Centre for not consulting the state on evicting hawkers. The Malda incident has now become a larger Centre versus state political debate. So far no action has been taken against the lynch mob.
