Branded as a safe haven for (mostly) Frits-only hardware jams on the Rhodes, Juno 60 or MPC, it aims to herald the wonky, lo-fi house musings of both himself and chosen others. Although never one to take himself too seriously, Rarely Pure, Never Simple - his debut longplayer for Wolf Music - masterfully juggled just the right amount of frivolity and playfulness with foot-shifting vigour. <br /> <br />Monsieur Wentink ladles those same attributes into "Dwayne Young" - a contagious brew of soulful murmurs, gated Rhodes chords and snappy kick drum oofs working in tandem.
