The death toll from a cruise ship that capsized on the Yangtze river has risen to 396 according to a Chinese government spokesman.<br /><br /> Only 14 of the 456 people on board have been found alive, including the captain, after the Eastern Star overturned in what was described as a freak tornado on Monday night.<br /><br /> It took until Friday to right the four-deck vessel and it has now been raised from the riverbed as searches continue. <br /><br /> More a thousand family members have come to Jianli in the central Hubei province, where the ship went down, many expressing frustration at the lack of information from the government.<br /><br /> Beijing has promised “No cover up” in an official investigation.
