(225g) penne <br />3 cups (750 mL) chicken broth <br />½ tsp (2 mL) salt <br />¼ tsp (1 mL) freshly ground black pepper <br />1 head broccoli chopped <br />1 cup (250 mL) frozen peas <br />¼ cup (60 mL) whipping cream (35%) <br />¼ cup (60 mL) grated Parmesan cheese <br /> <br />Method: <br /> <br />In a deep skillet fry the bacon until crisp. Add in garlic; cook stirring for 30 seconds or so. Then add in pasta, broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 12 to 15 minutes or until pasta is tender. Give it a stir once or twice during this time. Stir in broccoli, peas, whipping cream, and Parmesan cheese. Cook stirring about 2 minutes more or until heated through. <br /> <br />Makes: 4 servings
