Gandhinagar: Aiming for 100 per cent enrollment and reduction in drop-out ratio in primary schools, the Gujarat government started 'Shala Praveshotsav' (school enrollment drive) but citizens are reeling under the old education woes. As per the BJP's confession in Assembly, 12,343 schools have only one room to study, 8,786 schools have no rooms at all, 7,390 schools have no playgrounds, 19,206 schools have teachers shortage (2013-14) and there are only 43,176 primary schools against 61.05 lakh students in the state.
