You want to hire someone that is as experienced at shooting weddings, has shot a lot of weddings and that is their primary focus. These days there’s so many photographers out there and everyone has a digital camera and there’s a lot of photographers that call themselves a wedding photographer because they have a digital camera and it’s important that you’re hiring someone who’s shot a lot of weddings, had a lot of experience in shooting weddings. <br />It takes years to develop the intuition and to develop the understanding of where you need to be and when and the ability to kind of anticipate what’s coming up next. <br /> <br />I’ve shot over a hundred weddings now and I know, the experience that I have gained from that and how much it’s helped me and how invaluable it is for me in the weddings I shoot now, having that experience, that knowledge and that ability to anticipate moments and know where I need to be in order to get great photos. <br /> <br />So the experience of the photographer I think is something that shouldn’t be overlooked. You want someone who’s experienced in shooting weddings and not learning on your own.
