The music has been a way of life for Danny Rivera since he began singing in his humble home district Santurce, Puerto Rico. The bars in the neighborhood were the first stage for his talents. Then came the years of training in the choir of the evangelical church. Both experiences would be etched forever in the personality of Danny Rivera who through his long route to success, has never forgotten its simple origins and, as on the cusp of fame, has given of his time and his musical gift for the benefit of charitable causes. <br /> <br />Danny was fulfilled his vocation for singing, receiving his first offer to sing in a hotel in San Juan with the popular orchestra of César Concepción. Chosen Festival in popularity as Revelation Singer 1968, the radio and television contracts were immediate. <br /> <br />His beginnings in the world of disco took place with the "Love, Love" recording group The Clean Cuts. A year later he signed with the record label Velvet, with whom he managed to transcend start strongly in the popular staff. <br /> <br />In 1969 he held top of the charts with their versions of the songs "Because I love you" and "were mine a summer." To this happened were other successes as "Manolo", "My old", "I and the Rose" and "going to fall a tear." In 1971 he took the radio assault on the theme "Jesus Christ". And a year later, the conquest was complete with the release of the album "My son," which includes hits like "Your people are my people," "Beloved Lover" and "So many wishes it." <br /> <br />In the later stage of recordings Velvet, Danny released domestically classics as "Hate me", "Everyone is deaf," "Neighbor give me your hand", "Distance" and "What I would." His double album, "Danny Rivera in Concert", recorded during his performances at the Theatre Cinema 4 of Guaynabo, was a pioneer in its class productions during the 70s. <br /> <br />Subsequently, he recorded for the label Graffity one of its biggest successes in the international market: the album "very friendly" with Eyddie Gorme. He led by Don Costa, the "To say goodbye," Roberto Figueroa original, became the subject more widespread production. And a later production, "Alborada" held with the group of the same name, gave the national staff one of the classics of neofolklore 70. <br /> <br />Completed its stage of recordings with the label, Danny continued recordings with TH of Venezuela, producing the classic "Serenade," which includes his version of "Madrigal (With you)," Don Felo original.
