After releasing a demo and an EP, the Italian black metal one-man-band Ergot ended March 2015 with the releasing of the debut album “Victims Of Our Same Dreams” via De Tenebrarum Principio. <br /> <br />There are bands and albums that from the beginning show what they are all about, but that’s not the case with Ergot. After a long intro driven by a dark ambient sound with a ritualistic touch, comes a straight black metal song, titled “Red Shining Moon”, in which a raw and cold musical canvas is presented, with the final detail of a heavy metal guitar solo reminding of black metal’s early days - regarding the bands that came to surface through heavy metal instead of those who had a punkish pace and sound.
