A suicide bomb attack at a Shi’ite mosque in Kuwait City has left several people dead.<br /><br /> The group calling itself Islamic State says it was behind the attack.<br /><br /> The blast came during Friday prayers at the Imam Sadiq mosque in the neighbourhood to the east of the centre of Kuwait City.<br /><br /> Eyewitnesses say there were up to 2,000 people in the building at the time of the explosion.<br /><br /> At least 13 people have been killed and many more injured.<br />Sunni-governed Kuwait has a large Shia minority, which IS considers to be heretics.
