Once again the demand for the resignation of Guatemalan President Otto Perez Molina was heard in large weekend protests. Since April the President has been accused of corruption in a scandal involving the nation’s Customs Service. Other government officials including the Vice President have already been obliged to step down. Perez Molina has presented a protective writ to the nation’s highest court to seek the annulment of an impeachment process that has been contemplated against him. teleSUR
