Banten - 1972 (full album)

2015-06-30 29 Dailymotion

Dutch experimental jazz fusion quintet formed September 1971. Banten made just the one album in 1972, a very wide-ranging one, from free-jazz avant-garde through to to complex jazz fusion, including classical themes and a Thelonius Monk cover. All the musicians became better-known later, not least Henny Vonk in The Chris Hinze Combination.

Cello – Ernst Reijseger (tracks: A2)
Cello [Electric Cello] – Ernst Reijseger
Double Bass – Arnold Dooyeweerd (tracks: A1 to A3, B2, B3)
Drums, Voice, Harmonica [Mouth Organ], Whistle – Jurre Haanstra
Piano – Henny Vonk (tracks: B1b)
Piano, Electric Piano [Fender Rhodes] – Rob van den Broeck
Vocals, Kazoo, Percussion – Henny Vonk

http://www.discogs.com/artist/3121547-Banten
