Along with the new sustainability report Volkswagen Group for the first time presents the largest low-CO2 fleet worldwide comprising 57 model variants. <br /> <br />Before the European policy set its CO2 benchmarks for 2020, Volkswagen as the world’s first automaker had already committed itself to the ambitious goal of reducing its European new-car fleet-average emissions to 95 g CO2/km by that year. The 57 model variants mentioned above already meet these standards and achieve an impressive mileage of more than 57 mpg (gasoline: over 57 mpg, diesel: over 65 mpg).
