Britain's Duchess of Cambridge, the wife of Prince William, has given birth to a daughter, the couple's residence Kensington Palace announced on Saturday.<br /><br />Kensington Palace made the announcement after the birth: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am. The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz… Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."<br /><br />The Duchess was driven to the hospital alongside her husband early on Saturday.
