Mexico’s most notorious drug lord Joaquin Guzman has escaped from a high security prison for the second time in 14 years.<br /><br /> A huge manhunt is underway for Guzman – known as “El Chapo” or “Shorty”.<br /><br /> Flights have been suspended from the city of Toluca’s airport, near the jail, which is close to Mexico City.<br /><br /> Last seen near the prison showers on Saturday, his previous escape from jail in 2001 came reportedly when he hid in a laundry basket.<br /><br /> Guzman – who headed Mexico’s notorious Sinaloa Cartel and once made it onto Forbes’ list of billionaires – spend over a decade on the run but was captured last year. <br /><br /> He had been serving more than 20 years and had also been indicted in the US for drug trafficking.<br /><br /> Supporters in Mexico though demonstrated for his release, saying he provided vital jobs in poor areas.
