Mexican authorities gave some news media access to the tunnel allegedly used by drug lord Joaquín “el Chapo” Guzman to escape from the maximum security Altiplano prison last Saturday. A total of 22 prison officials have been formally arrested. The prison director was fired on Monday, but authorities have declined to say whether he was released or kept in custody.
