A remembrance ceremony and an historical battle reenactment took place on Mount Sapun near Sevastopol, to mark the 71st anniversary of the liberation of the city by the Red Army in WWII. The mount was considered an impenetrable base for the Nazis before the Red Army eventually captured the strategic location, allowing them to drive the German forces from Sevastopol.
