Coinciding with the 39th round of Colombian peace talks, a national peace conference underway in Bogota is seeking to actively engage civil society in the dialogue on ending the country's armed conflict. The grassroots initiative has brought together peasant farmers, Afro-descendants, and indigenous activists, among other social sectors, in a common agenda that includes deescalating the armed conflict and a bilateral ceasefire.
