Bhavnagar: On Japan nudge, Gujarat government has decided to upgrade the Alang Ship Recycling Yard but according to the leaders of Alang Ship-breaking Association, there is no need of oil jetty and with only minor changes, facilities can be improved. Alang upgrades will include concrete floors with drainage, bilge water pumps, hazardous waste disposal facilities and protective clothing for their workers.
