Mexican society has been shaken by the killing of photojournalist Ruben Espinosa, together with four women present on the scene. The spotlight is on repression against journalists, although authorities are backtracking from this line of investigation. Espinosa had fled the state of Veracruz after his life was threatened by government officials seeking refuge in Mexico City.
