High tidal waves and winds completely destroyed a pier in the southern Peruvian town of Pisco. The pier, which was completely destroyed, had been inaugurated by President Ollanta Humala 18 months ago. Residents say the structure should have been better secured through buffer mechanisms. teleSUR
