A Faroe Islands court has convicted five members of the Sea Shepherd conservation group of disrupting a regional whale hunt. <br /><br /> They were arrested in July as they attempted to stop and document the annual pilot whale cull. <br /><br /> The activists were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 670 euros, or eight days in prison, to more than 4,500 euros or fourteen days in prison. <br /><br /> The court also fined Sea Shepherd 10,000 euros. <br /><br /> The activists – from Italy, Luxembourg, Belgium, France and South Africa – will reportedly appeal.
