Former Bersih co-chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan said lawyer Edmund Bon was merely offering his legal opinion when he said that non-Muslims were not subjected to fatwas. Ambiga also said it was an opinion she agreed with.<br /><br />Bon last week was called up by the police for comments he made in an article published by The Malaysian Insider. The lawyer had said that non-Muslims do not need to adhere to a fatwa or royal decree.
