Footage has emerged from China of an impressively large set of outdoor escalators. They have been built on hillsides to provide local commuters with travel convenience in Chongqing, a city famous for its mountainous topography.<br /><br />According to local reports, the escalators were constructed by the railway company to connect a railway station with several bus stops beneath and nearby residential areas on the hill.<br /><br />The escalators are believed to help locals avoid a climb roughly equivalent to ten floors of steps.
