(7Celcius) I decided that I should go for a flight on my paramotor and test out a new wing that I had just purchased. I flew for roughly 30 minutes but my fingers started to get cold and figured that I should head back to my vehicle. While flying over a creek surrounded by trees and bog I decided to do one more low pass (over the creek) before landing. Since I had quite a bit of altitude I let off of the throttle and did a few turns to loose some altitude. Once I was about 10-15 feet off of the ground I hit the throttle but the engine bogged down and at this time I had no choice I had to land in the creek.

The water was actually quite shallow. I ended up sinking into mud up too hip level, this is why I had such a hard time pulling myself out, I was stuck in 3 1/2 feet of mud!

I never received a single scratch or damaged any equipment from that entire ordeal, the worst part was pulling my wing out of the trees and hiking back to my vehicle late at night in freezing temperatures. And yeah, the water was cold. Their was a thin layer of ice on the edges of the water!
Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Newsflare

Twitter https://twitter.com/Newsflare

Google+ http://bit.ly/NewsflareGoogle
