In November last year, Deputy Transport Minister Abdul Aziz Kaprawi reportedly said that the government is mulling a life span cap of 12 years for vehicles in order "to protect lives".<br /><br />However DAP's Kampar MP Ko Chung Sen says there's no scientific basis to that as most vehicles involved in accidents are those below 10 years old.
