The Election Commission (EC) has set March 23 for the Kajang state by-election today, with the nomination day set on March 11.<br /><br />EC chairman Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof said, this would provide a 12-day campaign period for the country's first by-election this year.<br /><br />The state assembly seat fell vacant on Jan 27, after the sudden resignation of PKR assemblyman Lee Chin Cheh.<br /><br />Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced on Jan 28 that he will be contesting for the seat.
