Mumbai: Days after the state government laid down dos and don'ts for dahi handi organizers, the Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) spoke out against the policy. Party leaders Sanjay Nirupam (Congress) and Sachin Ahir and Jitendra Awhad (NCP) met representatives of dahi handi mandals in Prabhadevi. The state government recently declared dahi handi an 'adventure sport' and lifted restrictions on the height limit for human pyramids.
