The residents of 7 residential estates in Klang are livid over what they see to be inaction of the Selangor state government on flooding that often occurs during heavy downpours.<br /><br />The most recent happened on March 27 and 30th causing many residents to suffer thousands of ringgit worth of damage to personal properties including vehicles.<br /><br />Not to be excluded from their anger are the Klang city council and the drainage and irrigation department which falls under the Federal government.<br /><br />This afternoon around 200 residents gathered at the local playing field to demonstrate their disatisfaction over the state's handling of the matter.<br /><br />In a related development, Selangor Chief Minister, Khalid Ibrahim is asking the federal government for RM1 billion for flood mitigation projects.
