Perkasa today proposed that a high-powered committee be formed to decide on the detention without trial of individuals believed to be threats to national security.<br /><br />Its president, Ibrahim Ali, said with the abolition of the Internal Security Act (ISA), a mechanism must be put in place that would enable swift decisions to be made on detention orders.<br /><br />"Going through the court process will take a long time.
