Kota Alam Shah assemblyperson M Manoharan has been handed a six months suspension by the DAP disciplinary committee for his controversial remarks over the national flag. <br /> <br />Committee chairperson and DAP vice-chairperson Tan Kok Wai announced this after a marathon session of the disciplinary body at party headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today. <br />When contacted, Manoharan said he will appeal the decision and declined further comment. <br /> <br />"He is suspended for six months with immediate effect, for making a statement that is improper and unbecoming of a party standard bearer and an assemblyperson," said Tan in a press conference after the nearly four-hour meeting. <br /> <br />Full story: http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/176711 <br /> <br />Camera: Hazlan Zakaria <br />Editing: Tan Jiun Wuu
