A cool video has emerged from the USA of a horror movie-themed marriage proposal.<br /><br />The footage, captured in Pasadena, California, shows the marriage proposal acted out in the style of John Carpenter's 1978 film 'Halloween'.<br /><br />Alec, the proposer, can be seen surprising girlfriend Katherine on a street corner while dressed up in a blue jumpsuit and white mask, in the style of horror villain Michael Myers.<br /><br />Katherine, initially frightened, then becomes overwhelmed with emotion when Alec gets down on one knee to propose. She accepts.<br /><br />"Katherine is a horror film fanatic. So when it came time for me to propose, it was only natural that I do it in the style of her favourite movie," Alec wrote online.<br /><br />Although the video was captured in 2014, it has only recently surfaced online.
