Guaranteeing lifespan of 200 years! Super bridge technology<br />Korea Institute for Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) has developed the world's first 'super bridge' technology that applies ultra high performance concrete (UHPC) to cable-stayed bridges. Cable-stayed bridge is a bridge in which the bridge deck is supported with tightly pulled cables. The institute has developed UHPC five times stronger than ordinary concrete as well as a construction method for cable-stayed bridges. We will find out more about the super bridge technology that raised the lifespan of bridges by more than 100 years and sharply reduced construction costs.
