Guatemala’s Supreme Court has approved a request by the country’s attorney general to impeach President Otto Perez Molina over alleged corruption.<br /><br /> The decision to act will now pass to Congress.<br /> Perez is suspected of involvement in a racket to siphon customs revenue from the government.<br /><br /> The president has denied wrongdoing and refused to resign.<br /><br /> A number of investigations have devastated Perez’s cabinet and led to former Vice President Roxana Baldeti being officially charged on Tuesday with illicit association, customs fraud and receiving bribes.
