A billion people. That’s how many users social networking site Facebook claimed accessed its site on Monday. <br /><br /> To put it into context that is one in seven of the world’s population.<br /><br /> Three years ago Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg claimed it had one billion users a month – now the company says it can achieve that figure in just one day. <br /><br /> Success is no doubt helped by the increasing access to mobile phones and internet, especially in developing countries. <br /><br /> The company also has a habit of acquiring other companies to add to its stable like Whatsapp. <br /><br /> And Zuckerberg says is going for world domination – he says this is just the beginning, identifying Africa as its next big area of growth.
