High-profile Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria, who personally interrogated the accused in the Sheena Bora murder case in an unsual action, was on Tuesday shunted out of the post and transferred on promotion as Director General of Police Home Guards and the Maharashtra government appointed senior IPS officer Ahmed Javed as Mumbai’s police commissioner.
