Yong Vui Kong faces the death penalty, which is carried out by hanging, after he was convicted in 2008 of trafficking 47 grams (1.65 ounces) of heroin into Singapore. <br /> <br />Both Malaysia and Singapore have tough anti-drug laws and rarely seek clemency for nationals facing drug charges in the other country. <br /> <br />Singapore human right lawyer M Ravi, describe that Yong Vui Kong comes from poor family, and being illiterate and deceived, he lost his way and ended up facing death penalty for drug trafficking. <br /> <br />He said that Yong has acknowledged his wrongdoing, but haven't given up life. Though behind bars, he studies language and turns to Buddhism. <br /> <br />Ravi urged Singapore government to give Yong a second chance for live.
