Gender equality NGOs have stepped up pressure on Bung Moktar Radin to vacate his parliamentary seat for having committed unauthorised polygamy.<br /><br />Bung Moktar, who is MP for Kinabatangan in Sabah, ran into a protest mounted outside the Lower Syariah Court in Gombak Timur this morning.<br /><br />Empower executive director Maria Chin Abdullah said Bung Moktar's action sends out the wrong message to society.<br /><br />"He is a lawmaker and he is breaking the law, but the way the issue is highlighted makes it seem like there's nothing wrong," she told journalists outside the court this morning.
