An MIC group today condemns the move by deputy president hopeful S Subramaniam for allegedly soliciting the support of former premier Mahathir Mohamad. <br /><br />A news report in the Tamil language daily Makkal Osai said to be controlled by Subramaniam carried a report which quoted the former premier as saying that MIC delegates must vote for Subramaniam in the upcoming September 12 MIC elections.<br />The group claims that by doing so Subramaniam has "disgraced the party and we want the MIC leadership to take action against him for tarnishing the image of the MIC".
